ALUMINIUM 2012 - 9th World Trade Fair & Conference 09 - 11 October 2012, Messe Düsseldorf, Germany

ALUMINIUM trade fair provides an overview about the entire aluminium industry. It is the international meeting place for suppliers of raw material, semi-finished and finished products, surface treatment and producers of machinery, plant and equipment for aluminium processing and manufacturing like bending machine and angle rolls. Light-metals trade, consultancy and expert opinions. More than 20,000 international trade visitors look for new solutions and technologies, not only from producers of the raw material but also processors, refiners, suppliers for the automotive or building industry e.g. producers of sections, suppliers of the latest technologies for e.g. extrusion, heat treatment, casting, sawing or surface refinement.

BIMEC: THE WORLD OF MECHATRONICS AND AUTOMATION

After the success of the previous edition, BIMEC, Biennial Exhibition for Mechatronics and Automation, returns with the best of international production in the sector from November 16 to 19, 2011.
Following the positive feedback gained in 2007, BIMEC comes back, choosing a new and even more prestigious stage: from fieramilanocity, the exhibition dedicated to new technologies in industrial production is moving to the prestigious exhibition centre in Rho-Pero, whose structures ensure greater efficiency and ideal operating conditions in line with both the importance of the event and of the participating companies.
Focusing on assembly, handling, moving , robotics and industrial vision, BIMEC is organized by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE, a company specialized in organizing exhibitions of the same class as BI-MU, the biennial of the machine tool.
Postponed due to an overlap with EMO - worldwide event held in Milan inlast October which incorporates the technological index of products of the specialist mechatronics show - BIMEC promises even more news four years after the last edition.
Technologies of the third edition of BIMEC include lines and machine for assembly, industrial robots, vision systems, measure and control, software and hardware for system and product development (PLM), logistics, engineering, safety and subcontracting.
Promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the association of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation, BIMEC enjoys the patronage of AIDA, the Italian Assembly Association, IMVG, Italian Machine Vision Group, CIS, Comitato Interassociativo Subfornitura, and SIRI, Italian Robotics and Automation Association.
Alongside the show event itself, UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE will also organize a series of initiatives and activities intended to make the most of operators’ attendance at the exhibition.

LAMIERA: RETURNS TO BOLOGNA IN 2012

From 12th to 15th May 2010, Bologna Fiera’s show ground will host the fifteenth edition of LAMIERA, the exhibition which is well-known as the most qualified trade show specifically devoted to the metal forming machines manufacturing sector.
Promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian Machine Tools, Robots and Automation Manufacturers’ Association, the exhibition, alongside an exhaustive review of the world-wide offering, will present a new version of Lambda and will give space to the debate of the most interesting and relevant issues in the sector. By presenting itself as an event not to be missed to establish new and more profitable technical and commercial business relationships, the 2010 event will focus the attention of international users on its exhibitors. LAMIERA will also document the evolution of the world of metal bending machines, promoting the definition of increasingly technically advanced solutions via the exchange of ideas that takes place when manufacturers and users meet. If they plan to compete on the international market, companies cannot afford to ignore the new technological models that are weighing upon the development of production systems.
The setting for this event will be Bologna’s trade show ground, a modern exhibition centre that covers an area of approximately 375,000 square-metres including indoor and open-air spaces, with 18 fully cabled, air-conditioned halls, equipped with IT systems.

EMO Hannover and German machine tool industry

In the first three months of 2011, orders in the German machine tool industry rose by 130 per cent comparing to the preceding year's equivalent period. Domestic and export demand increased almost identically: order bookings from the domestic market were up by 127 per cent, demand from abroad by 132 per cent.

This growth will be one of
the reasons that will make this years' EMO 2011 trade fair in Hannover a very exciting and interesting one; with the main focus on cutting and forming machine tools, manufacturing systems, precision tools, automated materials flows, computer technology, industrial electronics and accessories, EMO is considered amongst the most impostant trade fairs in the world for metalworking technology.

BENDING MACHINES AND ANGLE ROLLS

Bending machine is versatile, it is easy to operate and is well suited for bending pipe, tube, aluminum extrusions and other sections.

Standard features include double pinch hydraulic forming rolls, hardened precision threaded shafts, and dual adjustable lateral guides.

The design is the result of years of experience and is aimed at providing the highest level of performance, accuracy and consistency throughout the life of the bending machine with the additional advantage of being virtually maintenance free.

The lateral guide rolls are hydraulically powered and can be adjusted to work very closely to the bending rolls, minimizing the distortion of non-symmetrical profiles. Moreover, the guide rolls are equipped with the tooling to bend angle leg-in.

Angle rolls machines are used for bending tube, angle, or shapes into coils, circles or large arcs using a wide variety of materials. By simply adjusting the third roll you change the size of the arc or circle. Tube bending sizes require specific rolls. There are rolls for any application including CNC bender controlled.

Profile rolls often called angle rolls. We used the same technology as our 3 and 4 roll plate bending rolls which results in a stronger and higher quality machine than most other manufacturers but still at a very competitive price.

The rolls can bend almost every profile and section in steel, stainless and aluminum and are virtually maintenance-free.

The components are:

  • Heavy steel manufactured frame, machined on CNC machining centers for the best accuracy
  • 3 direct driven rolls, with hydraulic planetary motor to eliminate gear boxes, connecting arms synchro devices and clutches
  • 2 forming rolls for reduction of flat ends
  • double roll spherical bearings SFK or equal = maintenance-free and maximum rigidity
  • hydraulic motors attached directly to each planetary drive, eliminating the loss of torque
  • Modular tooling which can be configured to roll most standard sections. Special tooling can be ordered for rolling pipe, tubing or channels the hard way.

Teknomec

The TEKNO-MEC, NATIONAL Fair, with the partecipation of a big number of Foreigner Companies, present itself to the operators with its 7th edition 2011 from May 20th to 22nd in Lanciano (CH).

After receiving the prestigious award of National Fair, Teknomec is ready to the award of International Fair, completely supported by the presence of foreign exhibitors, demonstrating the good work done in these years and the growing satisfaction and interest both exhibiting companies and operators.

TEKNOMEC has made it selfknow as a reference for the Centre-South of Italy in supporting a good contest between supply and demand, capturing the attention of about 6.500 visitors about the edition 2009.

A great opportunity to make a display of machine-tools, robotics, welding systems, sub-supplies and garanteed second-hand machinery.

From www.teknomec.it it is possible to find more information about the event.

Bending a spiral

Hi, i recently found this nice article about how to make a spiral staircase using a tube bending machine.

For stair handrails it is advised to use a box section, for instance a semi-circular profile.

Start by setting up the machine measuring the radius of your staircase: the machine uses a series of drive rollers that are set out to achieve a degree of pipe bend required.

The pipe is pulled through these angle rolls and then made into an arc.

Here you can find more about his article:
