EuroBLECH 2010: Sheet metal working industry prepares for the uptrend:

EuroBLECH 2010 shows latest trends and innovative technology From 26-30 October 2010, the 21st International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition
will open its doors again in Hanover, Germany.
This year, the world’s largest trade exhibition for this industry sector will focus upon innovative technologies for the future of sheet metal working.
Enhanced fabrication processes for adapting to changing demand; intelligent
systems and machines for energy-saving and environmentally sustainable production; new materials as well as the latest trends in R&D will be on display.
“The current situation, a period of economic regeneration, demands a great deal of
innovative capacity from every company. After a difficult time, it is important to now set the course for the future by sourcing the right equipment,” explains Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director EuroBLECH on behalf of the organisers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions. “For industry experts from all over the world, EuroBLECH 2010, with its theme ‘Time for Innovation’, is therefore the first choice when it comes to gaining a comprehensive overview of trends and innovative technology, and to finding suitable machinery and tailor-made solutions”, says Nicola Hamann.

With 1,410 exhibitors from 42 countries and a net exhibition space of 78,000 m2 this year’s EuroBLECH is bigger than the show in 2006, a very successful year for the sheet metal working industry.
“Although this year’s figures do not match the record exhibition in 2008, the
current booking status clearly shows that the sheet metal working industry is on the up again”, says Nicola Hamann.
International participation at this year’s EuroBLECH has risen again slightly, with 46% of exhibitors coming from outside Germany this time. Following Germany and Italy, Turkey now represents the third biggest group of exhibitors. The number of exhibitors from Asia, particularly from China, Taiwan and India, has also increased substantially for this year’s show.
Traditionally EuroBLECH is also a highly international event as regards the visitor numbers. At the last exhibition, 35% of the trade visitors came to Hanover from abroad. A total of 69,400 visitors from 98 countries attended the EuroBLECH 2008 show.

A Guide to Cnc Tube Bending Machines

Do you know about CNC tube bending machines? These are designed in a fashion to minimize the time of set up and to maximize production. The CNC tube bending machines are available with many companies. Some of the companies have also launched CNC tube bending machines that feature electrical servo-drives on all axes and these are available in single as well as multi stack versions.

CNC pipe bending machines with multistack benders facilitate complicated bending without the requirement of tool change. In case, you cannot apply a multistack tool for stability reasons, try to switch over to an automatic clamp die changing system that will easily accommodate up to eight clamp dies.

The tube CNC bending machines feature excellent bending procedures that are programmable and boosting via the transport carriage in conjunction with the boosting in the area of pressure die. The boosting tends to minimize wall thinning towards the outer bend that further facilitates narrow bending. You can easily achieve a radius of less than 1 x OD. Other important features of CNC tube bending machines include the following:

An MMI multicontrol 2020 system
TFT monitor
Touchscreen
Plausibility verification
XYZ coordinate recalculation into bending parameters
Flexible programming
Multitasking
3-D displays
Integrated modem
Access to the world wide web

The integrated modem and access to the internet works towards providing the best of remote maintenance and technology support.

The CNC tube bending machines has a bending template. This helps in bending the pipe as desired. The unbent portion of the pipe is supported on a pipe that supports rail carries. It is also adjustable in height. The adjustment of height can be easily done by a drive and it is best suited for step-less positioning. This easily sets the pipe-supporting rail to a height that is already specified by the CNC control unit. Before bending the pipe, the height to which the pipe has been moved, is determines via a functioning program that is dependent on a full set comprising of tool data that has been input into the control unit.

Here are the features specifications of a CNC tube bending machines:

Industrial PC control
I/O card machine control
Input of all program to industrial PC via touch screen
Input data of Y.B.C.
Input data according to Descartes X.Y.Z coordination to build bending parameter.
The profile of tube will display on the PC as per the built parameter or input data.
Servo-motor control that feeds axis-X as well as rotates Axis-B, and then bends Axis-C that’s derived via hydraulic pressure
Program transmits via flash disc, floppy disc or the World Wide Web.
Adopt windows XP Embed operation system.
Process of the function auto and manually
Operation via Pedal
Single step change via the operator

Automatic bending rebound numerical compensation data s per accurate measured data.

Steel demand 'to hit fresh highs'

Global steel demand is expected to hit all-time highs next year, rising above levels last seen before the global economic crisis, a trade body has said.

The World Steel Association predicts world demand will rise 5.3% in 2011 to reach 1.34 billion tonnes, the highest amount since the first half of 2008.

It said continuing steel demand was being led by China, but that Europe was also consuming high volumes of steel.

Yet it added that the end of government stimulus measures may hit steel demand.

The World Steel Association also said that global exchange rate fluctuations could be another factor that clouded its steel output prediction.

For 2010, it says steel demand is likely to rise by 13.1% to 1.27 billion tonnes.

It added that China's demand for steel next year will be 42% higher than in 2007.
