PIPE BENDER

Bending machine is fabricated from 30mm square section tubing to provide a rock solid frame which more than stands up to the rigors of daily use. The frame is designed to give maximum stability, minimising the risks of sideways movement or skidding across floors, making operation as easy and effective as possible. The formers, which are key to creating a perfect bend, are machined cast aluminium. STEEL BENDING

Bending is a process by which metal can be deformed by plastically deforming the material and changing its shape. The material is stressed beyond the yield strength but below the ultimate tensile strength. The surface area of the material does not change much. Bending usually refers to deformation about one axis.

Bending is a flexible process by which many different shapes can be produced. Standard die sets are used to produce a wide variety of shapes. The material is placed on the die, and positioned in place with stops and/or gages. It is held in place with hold-downs. The upper part of the press, the ram with the appropriately shaped punch descends and forms the v-shaped bend.

Bending is done using press brakes that normally have a capacity of 20 to 200 tons to accommodate stock from 1m to 4.5m . Larger and smaller presses are used for specialized applications.

TUBE BENDING

The most common processes for bending pipe and tube are: ram, roll, rotary-draw, heat-induction, and sand-packing and hot-slab forming. Ram pipe bending was probably the first pipe bending method used to cold-form materials.
This pipe bending method pushes a die against the tube or pipe by a mechanical force, forcing the pipe to conform to the contours of the die. Lacking internal support in the pipe, this pipe bending process creates some cross section ovality. The thinner the wall the more deformation of the pipe is seen.
Maximum pipe bending angle is normally 90 degrees. This is a commonly used pipe bending process where high levels of cross section ovality are acceptable such as furniture tubing, conduit and handrails.
During roll pipe bending, a series of spool-like rollers apply pressure to the pipe as it passes through them. Pipe bending operators change the location of the rollers to produce pipe of the desired radius. This pipe bending process is ideal for forming helical pipe coils for heat transfer applications as well as long sweeping sections such as those used in steel construction-curved trusses and roof components for structures requiring large open spaces. It deforms the pipe cross section very little for such sweeping sections.

ROLL BENDER

A roll bender is a very robustly built and powerful pipe roller capable. This can be used in any fabrication shop or out in the field on job sites, considering it only requires 220 volts of single phase power to operate. It can be operated in both the vertical mode for small rolling projects, as well as in the horizontal mode for large rolling projects as there are feet on the bottom and back of the machine.

Roll benders work by "pinching" the flat workpiece between two rolls and bending it as it comes in contact with a forming roll. This bends the workpiece into a cylindrical form, where it is welded together to produce a cylinder. Caps are then welded on to produce tanks.
The upper roll is in a fixed position, the lower roll has adjustable movement to perform the gripping function. These are the "pinch" rolls. The third roll (the forming roll) is also adjustable.

Truly built to do the job year after year, these machines are designed with all three rolls driven. This insures easy material feeding and constant pull through of the workpiece.

With a manually or air adjusted drop hinge, the top shaft is automatically raised to release the pressure on the rolled sheet when the tail hinge is lowered. The rear forming roll is adjusted manually on some standard models.

This pipe bending roller has a motor to direct drive gear transmission for positive transfer of power to the drive rollers. The transmission is overload protected by a variable speed inverter drive unit. The variable speed is controlled by a speed pot and becomes very handy when rolling various types and sizes of metal section. CNC BENDER

The CNC bender can handle a wide variety of tube pipe sizes. This machine has a wide variety of applications, from consumer electronics and various tube/pipework used in ultracompact equipment to the largest machines found in plants, shipping, and nuclear power plants.

A pair of pneumatic rotating grippers are used to present the tube to the CNC bending machine. Upon cycle complete a second pair of grippers remove the tube and release it into a collection container.
