Industrial Show - October 9/12 2012

Tube bending machines

Roll Bender

The roll bender is equipped with a LED digital display to monitor the bending roll, this machine gives accuracy in all rolling application. Manual Roll Bender

This manual roll bender by pro tools is capable of rolling tube, pipe, channel, flats, and various box tubing. The unit's small size makes it highly portable and versatile. Top roll position is adjusted by means of a lever handle and the lower rolls are fixed. Bottom rolls can be dropped in quickly, and the top roll is fixed in place using the keyed shaft on the handle. With its sturdy dual side plate design, this machine can handle surprisingly large material for large radius work. Excellent machine for the ornamental, racing, and handrail industry.

Another model is a bench top three roll (angle rolls) universal bender. It is an electro-mechanical metal bending machines complete with adjustable lateral material supports and an electronic digital display to monitor roll position. The unit is ideal for rolling standard/special sections plus small diameter tube and pipe mild and stainless steels, aluminum, brass, copper and other materials. The unit's small size makes it highly portable and versatile. Top roll position is adjusted by means of a lever handle and the lower rolls are driven and knurled for optimum profile traction. PIPE BENDER

Bending machine is fabricated from 30mm square section tubing to provide a rock solid frame which more than stands up to the rigors of daily use. The frame is designed to give maximum stability, minimising the risks of sideways movement or skidding across floors, making operation as easy and effective as possible. The formers, which are key to creating a perfect bend, are machined cast aluminium. This means they can provide a superior and highly accurate bend as the machined area provides a perfect profile to support the pipe and gives excellent contact and virtually no movement. By comparison, most other brands use non machined die casts. Included with all machines is a dual purpose stabilising and extension bar. It can be used to give extra leverage when performing down-bends, or to give extra stability to up-bends by acting as a counter-lever. For electricians, the bar can also be used as a handy cable reel feed by simply securing it through holes in the vice mount, further adding to its versatility. When not in use the bar can be stored securely out of the way on the side of the machine. Another important development on this range of machines is the new design vice mount. Being more substantial than those of other brands, this vice mount offers added functionality. Perhaps most important is the ability to accept a wide range of vices, including those of other leading manufacturers, thanks to the universal slots. These slots are also designed to allow the vice to be secured either flush with the edge of the mount or even to overhang, in order to provide clearance to make the threading of conduit much easier, no longer making the vice mount an obstacle to the threading equipment. Yet another exclusive feature in this range comes in the form of the hexagonal drive featured on the universal and pipe bending machines. A full range of spares and accessories are available. STEEL BENDING

Bending is a process by which metal can be deformed by plastically deforming the material and changing its shape. The material is stressed beyond the yield strength but below the ultimate tensile strength. The surface area of the material does not change much. Bending usually refers to deformation about one axis.

Bending is a flexible process by which many different shapes can be produced. Standard die sets are used to produce a wide variety of shapes. The material is placed on the die, and positioned in place with stops and/or gages. It is held in place with hold-downs. The upper part of the press, the ram with the appropriately shaped punch descends and forms the v-shaped bend.

Bending is done using press brakes that normally have a capacity of 20 to 200 tons to accommodate stock from 1m to 4.5m . Larger and smaller presses are used for specialized applications.

CNC BENDER

The CNC bender can handle a wide variety of tube pipe sizes. This machine has a wide variety of applications, from consumer electronics and various tube/pipework used in ultracompact equipment to the largest machines found in plants, shipping, and nuclear power plants.

It’s a semi- automated system to load and unload tube variants into and from the CNC bending machine.
The tubes are manually loaded into the tube carrier on the transfer chain at the load area. The transfer chain is indexed forward by the indexing cylinder sprocket until the tube is sensed in the unload position.
A pair of pneumatic rotating grippers are used to present the tube to the CNC bending machine. Upon cycle complete a second pair of grippers remove the tube and release it into a collection container.

ITM Poland: 14-17 June 2011

ITM Poland 2011 is the fair of modern industrial machine technologies. Participation in this trade fair can bring many advantages: you can directly reach thousands of business owners interested in the promotion of modern technology, promote your novelties and showcase your product at the special exhibitions.

In 2010 the display of the ITM Poland fair was divided according to the subject into branch exhibitions: HAPE Exhibition of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Drives, MACH-TOOL Machine Tool Exhibition, METALFORUM Exhibition of Metallurgy, Foundry Engineering and Metal Industry, SURFEX Exhibition of Surface Treatment Technologies, WELDING Exhibition and TRANSPORTA exhibition. The participation of the Polish science representatives at the fair was financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

ANGLE ROLLS

Angle rolls are made from high-strength chrome-nickel alloy steel, and are the largest diameter shafts of any comparable machine. These heavily proportioned shafts help minimize deflection, resulting in improved bending. The roll shafts are journalled in oversized SKF roller bearings for greatest efficiency and long life. The standard tooling is a combination set for bending machine both leg-out and leg-in, flat bar on flat and on edge, T-bar stem-out and stem-in as well as stem-down, small square bar and even small solid round bar. Normally, no additional spacers are required.
Roll bender machines all come with standard section roll dies on all three shafts. These dies can readily address most square profile applications that an engineer would run into and even round profiles if distortion of the tube or pipe is acceptable. Where no distortion on round tube or pipe applications is acceptable section roller dies for your particular tube and pipe bender size are available. Even though the section roller dies that come standard with the machine can address most square profiles on the market custom section dies are available for square profiles reducing setup time when changing over applications. Custom profiles rolls for extrusions are addressed on a daily basis so forward a sample and a drawing to us so we can offer a feasibility review along with a quote for the custom roll bender rolls.

BIMEC: THE WORLD OF MECHATRONICS AND AUTOMATION

After the success of the previous edition, BIMEC, Biennial Exhibition for Mechatronics and Automation, returns with the best of international production in the sector from November 16 to 19, 2011.
